For my birthday this year, Stephen got me tickets to the Trilogy Tour, starring Pitbull, Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias. I love Pitbull and I’ve been wanting to see him live for so long! So I was VERY excited. Stephen had to be in Toronto for the same dates for meetings so it was perfect timing.

Monday
We flew out of Charlottetown on Monday afternoon. We were staying at the Ritz Carlton and when we were checking in I was only half listening to the person checking us in so I only caught ….The bar might be busy tonight because of the NHL game tonight. What I missed was the fact that the NHL team was staying at the hotel tonight. So after we dropped off our bags in the room we decided to go grab a coffee before Stephen’s dinner meeting. As I stepped out of the lobby door I happened to be exciting along side some young guy. And we were greeted by a big crowd behind a police barricade yelling for autographs and snapping pictures. I was like what the hell is going on?! Apparently I had stepped out the door along side the NHL player who is kind of a big deal and newly signed to the team that was playing against the Leafs that night. Then the entire team streamed out and loaded into the waiting bus to take them to the game. As you can tell, I am not a hockey fan, and didn’t recognize a single one…I even forget the name of the team that was playing hahaha!

As I mentioned Stephen has a dinner meeting that evening so I decided to eat at the hotel bar by myself. Is at on the corner of the bar which was a big u shape, and when I looked over across the bar to the other side, I was like holy F! That’s Wayne Gretzky! Now he is probably the only hockey guy I would recognize. He was sitting with 2 other fellows, I’m not sure if they were hockey famous or not, but I think I won some points back with my hockey loving family that I recognized the Great One!

Tuesday
Stephen had a full day of meetings today so I went to the gym, which was VERY busy. And then headed to the Eaton Center for some shopping. By mid afternoon I was back at the hotel to get ready for the concert. I’d found some cool silver metallic pants and boots for the concert at the mall so I was excited about my concert outfit. Stephen met me at the hotel bar for a quick bite before heading to Scotiabank for the concert.

The vibe was vibing at the Scotiabank Arena! Let me tell you! And all ages too. It was like being at a Latinos dance club. Wooo! People were ready to dance and party! And so many people had bald caps on, dressed up like Pitfall!!! It was hilarious!

Ricky Martin opened the night. He played a lot of Spanish songs but he also played his English hits like Living La Vida Loco and She Bangs. He was a little rusty on stage but he seemed really happy to be there.

Pitbull was on next. He had a fun set and the crowd was so pumped when he took the stage. Now I’m going to be honest with you. Did he sound great? No. But you’re not really there for that. It’s the ENERGY!!! It was so fun. I kept elbowing Stephen and saying check out the arena. Literally every single person there was on their feet dancing and singing. It was the VIBE!

Enrique closed out the night. He sang a mix of his Spanish and English songs. The Toronto crowd was losing their mind over Enrique. At one point Beach balls rained down on the crowd form the ceiling and everyone was bouncing the balls in the air! So much fun!!

Wednesday
We had a little sleep in, then went down to the hot tub for a little soak, and then went back to our room, packed up and headed to the airport. It was a quick city trip but very happy for the experience!
